Description
Wavelengths Sonoma, also known as The Mill, was opened in 2020 in Petaluma, California, the founder Warren Boyd’s hometown. This location serves Sonoma County, California. The center is centrally located in beautiful downtown Petaluma in the historical Great Petaluma Mill building. Treatment options here include intensive outpatient treatment program and an outpatient treatment program. The Mill is intended to help clients who are struggling with sobriety. Clients who are struggling with alcohol and drug addictions and co-occurring mental disorders can seek help here with evidence-based therapies and a holistic approach.
A Holistic Approach
The Mill has a special holistic approach called Alchemy Wellness, which is a healthcare service designed to help the community make a positive behavioral change to their diet, activity, and mental health. This program includes yoga, physical therapy, sound bath meditation, reiki, acupuncture, and whole food nutrition. The evidence-based therapies include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), life skills, and group and individual sessions. Wavelengths Sonoma also uses equine therapy to help motivate adults to establish healthy relationships with themselves, friends, and family. Equine therapy at Wavelengths is much more than riding. Working with horses includes feeding and grooming, as well as building a relationship in order to gain their trust. Wavelengths Sonoma, also known as The Mill, is a Wavelengths Recovery program in Sonoma County that is accredited by the Joint Commission.
