Valley Recovery Center provides residential treatment services for adult men suffering from substance abuse and co-occurring conditions. Our treatment team providers will evaluate the client’s medical health, mental health and substance use history in order to design an individualized treatment plan tailored to meet the varying needs of the client and his or her family. Clients reside in a non-institutional, home-like setting with private individual bedrooms that provide a safe and secure healing environment. Providing gender-specific treatment in a smaller group setting helps clients remain focused on the recovery process and strengthen trusting relationships. We have several homes located in the northern Los Angeles area and are licensed by the state of California and certified by The Joint Commission.
A Clinically Driven, Individualized Program
When considering addiction treatment, you may be wondering what you can expect during a day in treatment. Our daily schedule at Valley Recovery Center is very structured and organized with an array of therapies and activities. Each day brings diversity in the groups that will be offered, however, the times and overall structure of the day remains constant. The routine and consistency of the schedule allows for the safest and most supportive environment. Each day will start with a healthy breakfast followed by Morning Reflections. This group is a time for clients to reflect and share upon their gratitude’s, goals for the day, and offer support and encouragement to one another. Two additional groups will be held before lunch, typically a physical activity such as a gym outing or yoga, followed by a psychoeducational group. The middle of the day provides a more intensive treatment. After a healthy lunch, clients will participate in individual or group therapeutic sessions. These sessions may include art therapy, music therapy, specialized therapy sessions such as anger management, or process groups.
