Description
Northern Valley Indian Health is a private, nonprofit tribal corporation that was founded in 1971 by a group of Northern California American Indians seeking to reestablish health services for Indians in California. NVIH continues to focus agency efforts on establishing and maintaining an effective and efficient health care system, which ensures services are accessible, available, and of high quality.
NVIH serves Native Americans and the general public through medical, dental, and pediatric services at clinics in Chico, Willows, Red Bluff, and Woodland.
Over the last 50 years, NVIH has significantly grown into 8 clinics and an administrative office with over 375 employees across all sites. We proudly serve all community members in Butte, Glenn, Colusa, Tehama and Yolo counties.
NVIH is comprised of four consortium tribes:
- Grindstone Indian Rancheria
- Kletsel Dehe Wintun Nation
- Mechoopda Indian Tribe of Chico Rancheria
- Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation
