Top-Rated Residential Treatment Center At Evolve Calabasas, we provide the highest caliber of evidence-based residential treatment for adolescents 12-17 struggling with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, ADHD, self-harming or high-risk behaviors, suicidality, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder, and other behavioral issues. Our primary modes of treatment are Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Since we believe treatment works best when it is individually tailored, our clinical staff conducts a comprehensive evaluation of each teen pre- and post-admission in order to develop a customized, highly detailed treatment plan that is constantly updated based on treatment progress. Our robust clinical program includes individual and family therapy at least 5 times a week; weekly psychiatry sessions; daily groups such as DBT Skills Training, Anger Management, Seeking Safety, and Relapse Prevention; and daily academic support. Teens also participate in experiential therapies proven to support recovery (e.g. equine, art, drama, music, fitness, cooking, yoga, etc.) as well as 12-Step programs for those struggling with substance use/dual diagnoses.

At Evolve, we have rigorous protocols in place to ensure your child’s safety at all times. Our staff:patient ratio is 3:1–one of the highest ratios in adolescent treatment centers. Additionally, our licensed therapists carry a caseload of no more than 3 patients at any given time. This enables your child to receive the highly individualized attention they need for optimal recovery. In addition to our full-time therapists, our treatment team includes board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists, on-site nurses, counselors and 24-hour support staff. Our specialized, trained staff are available to provide in-the-moment, face-to-face skills coaching and crisis support for your teen 24/7. We maintain strict line-of-sight and line-of-hearing policies, utilize state-of-the-art monitoring technology, and offer 1:1 supervision as needed. Location and the Admissions Process
Only serving up to 6 teens at any given time, Evolve Calabasas is suitable for teens stepping down from inpatient hospitalization, or as a step-up option for teens requiring a higher level of care than partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient programs. Prior to admission, our licensed Admissions Clinician conducts a detailed phone assessment to ensure our Dialectical Behavior Therapy treatment center is clinically appropriate for your teen. Throughout the duration of treatment, our dedicated discharge coordinator works closely with your child’s therapists on a detailed aftercare and relapse-prevention plan to ensure a smooth transition back home. Our residential home in Calabasas is comfortable and secluded, featuring ample greenspace, a swimming pool, fully-equipped gym, and an onsite chef.
