Description

Population-specific therapy for folks who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, queer, questioning, pansexual, asexual, and more is a critical need. We know that LGBTQ+ folks and their families have experiences of trauma, anxiety, and depression that are shaped by unique gender identities, sexualities, and bodily experiences (such as being intersex). Counseling at Pacific Pride features a team of clinicians (a majority of whom identify as LGBTQ+) trained in issues relevant to LGBTQ+ and HIV/AIDS mental health–with full, robust training in best practices for Transgender (Non-Binary included) clients. Our counselors are overseen by the well-respected Bren Fraser, LMFT, and offer high-quality, culturally competent individual, couples, and family therapy for a sliding scale fee based on income and number of dependents. Currently, all therapy is teletherapy. *Counseling at Pacific Pride is not a Crisis Center. If you are in the throes of addiction, are immediately suicidal or self-harming, or experiencing acute intimate violence — we are not a fit. Instead, immediately call 911 or seek out crisis referrals like the Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 1-800-273-8255
