Adolescent Mental Health and Addiction Treatment
At Evolve Gilroy, we provide the highest caliber of evidence-based residential treatment for adolescents 12-17 struggling with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, ADHD, self-harming or high-risk behaviors, suicidality, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder, Conduct Disorder, and other emotional/behavioral issues. Our primary modes of treatment are Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. At Evolve, we believe treatment works best when it is individually tailored. Our clinical staff conducts a comprehensive evaluation of each teen pre- and post-admission in order to develop a customized, highly detailed treatment plan that is constantly updated based on treatment progress. Our robust clinical program includes individual and family therapy; weekly psychiatry; daily academic support; and groups on DBT Skills Training, Anger Management, Relapse Prevention, & Seeking Safety. Teens also participate in experiential therapies (e.g. equine, music, art, fitness, cooking, yoga, and meditation) as well as 12-Step/SMART Recovery programs for those struggling with dual diagnoses.

At Evolve Gilroy, we have rigorous protocols in place to ensure your child’s safety at all times. Our staff:patient ratio is one of the highest ratios in adolescent treatment centers. Additionally, our licensed, full-time therapists carry a caseload of no more than 3 patients at any given time. This enables your child to receive the highly individualized attention they need for optimal recovery. In addition to our licensed therapists, our treatment team includes a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist, on-site nurses, residential counselors and 24-hour support staff. Evolve’s specialized, trained staff are available to provide in-the-moment, face-to-face skills coaching and crisis support for your teen 24/7. We maintain strict line-of-sight and line-of-hearing policies, utilize state-of-the-art monitoring technology, and offer 1:1 supervision as needed. Admissions, Location, & Insurance
Only serving up to 6 teens at any given time, Evolve Gilroy is suitable for teens stepping down from inpatient hospitalization, or as a step-up option for teens requiring a higher level of care than partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient programs (such as our outpatient programs in San Jose). Prior to admission, our licensed Admissions Clinician conducts a detailed phone assessment to ensure our treatment center is clinically appropriate for your teen. Throughout the duration of treatment, our dedicated discharge coordinator works closely with your child’s therapists on a detailed aftercare plan to ensure a smooth transition back home. Our beautiful, gated 10-acre home in the Bay Area offers comfortable accommodations, endless greenspace, dedicated therapy/school areas, an arts studio, meditation cabana, swimming pool, fully-equipped gym, and an onsite chef.
