About us
As part of the Northern California Behavioral Health System, we are dedicated to kindness, service, and healing. At both Santa Rosa Behavioral Healthcare Hospital and Sacramento Behavioral Healthcare Hospital we serve adolescents, adults, and seniors. We offer inpatient psychiatric care in a comfortable, supportive environment, and follow-up care in our newly expanded outpatient treatment center. Our full spectrum of care includes various levels at which to being care and/or continue treatment. We help individuals improve their clinical status, regain their quality of life, and return to their daily activities in their homes, among their family and in their communities with a renewed sense of hope and meaning
Inpatient Services
Inpatient treatment focuses on helping individuals develop necessary coping skills to manage the issues that led to their need for hospitalization. We then provide discharge planning that allows for smooth transition to next level of follow-up care and support including: 1. Rapid stabilization with 24-hour care and treatment in a structured, safe, and therapeutic environment. 2. A physician-led multidisciplinary clinical treatment team including a psychiatrist, social services clinician, nurse, and activities therapist. 3. Individualized treatment planning to build goals and wellness objectives. 4. Next-step coordination upon discharge with outpatient services, community providers, outside agencies, family members, and insurance providers.
Outpatient Services
An integral part of the continuum of care includes comprehensive outpatient services for those who do not require inpatient hospitalization. Clients can self-refer or be referred by a provider, agency, family, or friend. They can also come to one of our programs as the next step on their wellness journey upon discharge from an inpatient setting. Depending upon client needs and therapeutic goals, our program options include: 1. Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP): A structured daytime program that includes physician oversight, therapeutic, and educational groups and activities that focus on the individual’s treatment goals. The program runs daily during the week. 2. Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): Less concentrated that a full day of PHP. Group therapy and education helps clients build tools and skills to apply in their daily lives at home, school, work, and in the community. Clients attend IOP three hours a day, three days a week. 3. Telehealth: We offer virtual services to clients who can participate in an IOP program from their own personal space. Our virtual programs offer the same therapeutic support available in an in-person setting.
